KCRC Statement of Purpose
To provide an experience of Christian living through which campers come to a better understanding of Christian principles and teachings as revealed in the Bible.
To help campers in their understanding of God and His purpose as they make discoveries about His work in nature.
To use this appreciation of God’s creation to be better stewards in preserving nature for future generations.
To give campers a new perspective through the experience of being away from home.
To give campers a place in which to meet Jesus and develop their personal relationship with God.
To provide time for contemplation not always possible in other parts of the church.
To let campers learn to worship God in new ways out-of-doors.
To develop genuine Christian fellowship, and to help campers recognize that they are part of the body of Christ.
To enable campers to have a joyful, happy, and wholesome time.
To connect the joy and growth of the camper experience to life back at home and in the church.
